Our Nursery class is called Lowry, and is part of our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Children are eligible for nursery places from the term after they are 3 years old. Applications for nursery places are normally due in the March of each year.
They run two 3 hour sessions:
In nursery children enjoy a mixture of structured, teacher led activities and free play. Children are taught the phonetic alphabet (sounds and actions), numbers and counting using a variety of interactive techniques. The team have worked hard to create an amazing learning environment using both the classroom and the beautiful outside, purpose built, play equipment. This outdoor learning extends beyond the play equipment to a Wild Area and the growing of a range of vegetables.
Our aim is to prepare the children for Reception, and school in general, by introducing them to the Early Years curriculum, school routines and expectations.
Our nursery team are highly experienced and deliver a high quality provision where children flourish.
