Year 3 Science Museum Trip!

On the first day back of term Year 3 had a very exciting trip to the Science Museum in London.

They were visiting the museum to provide inspiration because their topic this term is - 'Forces and Magnets' and 'Inspiring Inventions!'

I discovered a material house full of lots of colours; red, purple, blue and pink!

The children were able to discover lots of new information and facts which got them thinking about their own inventions which they will look at later in the term. They learnt about spreading pressure across surfaces and the even distribution of weight when they saw someone sit on some nails but not get injured!

They were amazed by the impact inventions have had on our lives. This was shown when they saw one of the original computers that was almost 2 meters long and had hundreds of cables.

Overall it was a wonderful day out that left the children inspired by the magic of science and excited about their upcoming learning.
