Welcome to King Athelstan Primary School

The school is a two-form entry community primary school close to the centre of Kingston upon Thames. We provide education for children from 2 to 11 years in our school and offer a wide range of services and activities for 0 – 5s and their families through Kingston Town Children’s Centre which is based on our site. 

Over the years we have developed our setting, which means we now have a vibrant, modern learning environment, with fully equipped intervention areas, spacious subject specialist rooms including: an art/cookery room, music room, library and Specialist Resource Provision space, as well as a state-of-the-art Key Stage 2 playground.

Applications for Nursery in September 2024

The deadline for Nursery applications for September 2024 was Friday 1st March 2024. However, you can still apply and be added to the wait list.

We offer 15 hours entitlement within our Nursery and admissions are organised directly through the school.

Three Peaks Challenge

On 23rd June 2023, five staff members (Miss Lee, Miss Favretti, Mrs Heath, Mrs Coelho and Mr Mc Laughlin) took on the gruelling challenge of walking up and down the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours, all to raise money for the school! Money raised will go towards the Big Outdoors Project to renovate the KS1 playground. You can still donate on the link above.
