Prescribed Medication
Prescribed medication will be administered at school only when necessary and if the following conditions are met:
The medication is in its original packaging with the prescription label clearly showing the child’s name, dosage, and instructions,
Important Note about Antibiotics:
We can only administer antibiotics at school if they are prescribed to be taken four or more times a day. If prescribed three times a day or fewer, they should be given outside of school hours.
Over-the-Counter (Non-Prescription) Medication
School can administer over-the-counter medication only if it is unavoidable for your child to take it during school hours. In these cases, the following must apply:
A completed Medicine Form must be submitted along with the medication. We cannot administer any medication without this completed form and prior agreement.
Please complete a new form each time your child has a change of medication.
