Dear Parent and Carers
Extra-Curricular Clubs – Summer Term 2020
We are delighted to offer a wide range of extra-curricular clubs in the Summer term. We continue to offer
a range of new clubs based on the Autumn Term Parent/Carer Survey results and Forum feedback,
consequently Karate is now on clubs menu for the Summer term. Each club leader has provided a brief
summary of what their club will involve. All information related to extra-curricular clubs can be found on the
school website and in the school office.
If your child would like to attend a club, please complete the club booking form and return it to the school
office from 8:30am on Tuesday 17th March 2020. No forms will be accepted prior to this time, including
emailed forms. If your child attends breakfast club, please hand forms to the Breakfast Club team. For the
most part, children will be accepted into clubs on a first come, first served basis.
We endeavour to offer children their first choice of club; however, this is not always possible due to high
demand and limits on number of places available (detailed on the attached clubs overview). Therefore we
recommend that you select more than one club for your child. If the activity you have selected is full, your
child will be put on a waiting list and given a place if one becomes available
All Art Club Bookings
Unfortunately, our current Art Club provider, Stanley Picker Gallery, is unable to provide classes this term.
Art clubs will return next academic year 2020-2021. We have only been informed of this in the last week
and therefore, we are unable to replace it at such short notice.
Y3-Y6 Choir Bookings
We request that all existing Choir club members select this club by ticking the box (a preference number is
not required), as it is important members attend each term as they are leading up to performances later in
the academic year. You can also select other club choices in the normal way using 1,2,3 preferences. New
members are welcome.
Y2-Y6 Computing Club
If your child fits the criteria for Computing club, select this club by ticking the box (a preference number is
not required). We would encourage children who have attended in the Spring Term to attend again. There is
no charge for this club. This clubs is mainly aimed at those who are Free School Meals/Pupil Premium. You
can also select other club choices in the normal way using 1,2,3 preferences.
Pupil Premium (PP) Places (25% + places available):
Each PP eligible child is entitled to one free club per term. Pupil Premium funding is allocated to children who
are entitled to Free School Meals (not universal free school meals) or those who have been entitled during
the past six years. Please indicate on the form if your child qualifies.
