About the School

King Athelstan Primary School is a two form entry, community primary school close to the centre of Kingston upon Thames. We provide education for children from 3 to 11 years in our school (currently approximately 450 pupils) and also offer a wide range of services and activities for 0-5 year olds and their families through Kingston Town Children’s Centre that is also based on our site.

The school is a very exciting place to be right now. There have been lots of changes and improvements over recent times. Our school draws pupils from a wide variety of backgrounds and cultures; there are approximately 40 different languages spoken in our school community. Our aim is to provide a happy and caring environment where all pupils thrive and achieve high standards both academically and in their personal and social development.
