Managing Children's Anxiety

These presentations are from the Emotional Health Service and aim to help parents and carers understand and cope with children's stress.

There are 3 presentations (below). The first workshop presentation deals with understanding where anxiety comes from. The second is around the behaviours associated with anxiety and the third focusses on strategies to support your child/ren.

There will also be a follow up, live online workshop. It will be facilitated by an Emotional Welfare Practitioner on Google Hangouts, at a date to be confirmed.

Managing Challenging Behaviour

This has been a difficult time for all of us and many parents/carers are dealing with challenging behaviour your children can display.

Whilst it is perfectly normal for children to behave differently, and find it hard to regulate their emotions given we are in the middle of a pandemic, it can also be a struggle to manage at times.

Please see below a 4 part Behaviour Workshop for parents/carers from the Emotional Health Service. It has helpful tips and support for families.

EYFS Readiness for School

The Emotional Health Service have put together two presentations for parents and carers of children in EYFS, entitled “Readiness for school”.

They contain lots of useful information for parents/carers as well as strategies to support your child before they start school and in the first years.
