What to do if...

Your child has been sick

Please keep them off school, and let us know. Your child should not return to school until 48 hours after the last bout of sickness.

Your child is unwell or has a medical appointment

Please let the school office staff know first thing in the morning if your child is unwell, and in advance for an appointment. We will need to take a photocopy of your appointment card or letter.

You need to request "Emergency Leave"

Please ask for an Emergency Leave request form from the office. This request is then reviewed by the Headteacher. Absences are only authorised if the request is an emergency. Requests for holiday leave will not be authorised.

You would like to volunteer in school

Thank you, we love having volunteers. Please speak to the office to get a Volunteer form (please see below). All volunteers will need to complete a Barred List Check in advance. Speak to the office for more information.

You would like to discuss a problem or a concern

Please speak to your child’s class teacher first. They will make the Headteacher and/or the Senior Leadership Team aware of the situation. If you do not feel that this has resolved the situation please arrange to meet with the Headteacher. A copy of our school Complaints Policy is available from the school office.

You would like to come to Class Assembly

All parents/carers are invited to attend their child's class assembly. These are on Thursdays at 8.55am in the hall. The dates are listed in the Class Assemblies page.

You would like to help to make our school even better

Please share any ideas or suggestions with your child’s class teacher, the office or the Headteacher. Also, please come along to our termly Parent/Carer forum. You can add items to the agenda and join in with discussions.

You would like to support your child further at home

Please read with your child every night and help them to learn to read and spell their phase words. Please support your child to complete their homework each week. Please speak to your child’s class teacher for more ideas or look on the PCSA website.

You would like to be involved in the PCSA

As a parent/carer you are already a member of the PCSA. If you would like to attend their regular meetings or help out with events please look out for the purple letters in your child’s book bag.

You have changed any of your contact details

It is important that your contact information is kept up-to-date. Please let the office staff know as soon as possible if any of your details change such as your phone number, address, email details or doctor’s details.
