Health services

Kingston Town Children’s Centre has great links with the Health Team locally.

This includes a wide team of professionals from local health clinics and Kingston hospital. There is baby clinic running on a weekly basis with Health Visitors, Midwives and Nursery Nurses on hand to give advice and offer support.

Also available:

  • Weaning talks for parents needing advice on feeding their babies
  • Postnatal support group (getting to know your baby)
  • Infant massage
  • Antenatal checks and support
  • Baby and Toddler development checks 
  • Baby weighing

If you or the Centre staff have concerns about any aspect of your child’s development we will discuss these with you and, if necessary, help you to access a range of services that help ensure that your child receives the right kind of support. We have very good links with:

  • Speech and Language Therapists
  • Occupational Therapist
  • Clinical and Educational Psychologist
  • The Education Welfare Officer
  • School Nurse
  • School SENCO Inclusion manager
