Thinking Skills

One of our key priorities this year is developing our pupils’ thinking skills.  In the ever changing world we live in, it is important that we strive to equip our pupils with the ability to think deeply and creatively.  This term we are focusing on ensuring that our learning objectives promote thinking skills.  We are encouraging children to talk about their thinking and recognise that there are not always right and wrong answers.

In Assemblies we have been using ‘Thunks’ created by Ian Gilbert to promote some of these thinking skills.  We will be including a ‘Thunk’ in every newsletter for you to share with your child and encourage debate and discussion within the family. Have fun talking about the ‘Thunk’ below!
