Year 3 den building trip
Year 3 really enjoyed their den building trip. They were really keen to tell the school community all about it, so here are their reports:
When we got off the coach I couldn’t believe my eyes, the woods were beautiful! The top of the trees had a layer of lovely thick leaves. Before we started den building, we had to get some energy so we ate some lunch. After we ate all of our lunch, we had to climb a tall and steep hill to get to a clearing. Just before we started to build our dens we had to find some trees to hold all the branches in place. Then we started to find lots of long logs to make the shape of the dens. After we made the shape of the dens with the logs, we had to find the big pile of fir trees to put on for camouflage. When we finished I was very proud.

At first we ate our lunch, then we climbed a huge mountain. At the top we made dens. It was really hard work! The leaves were really spiky. The logs were really strong. When we finished our dens they looked very nice. When we decorated them they looked even better.
