On Wednesday 21st January the children in Year 1 spent the day at the Natural History Museum in London, learning all about dinosaurs in relation to their topic, 'Travelling through time.'
The children travelled into the museum on London's iconic double decker red bus; they got a great view of London from the top deck.
When they arrived at the museum they were surprised just how big it was from the outside. When inside they realised it had to be such a big building to hold all the huge dinosaur bones they were able to see! A popular skeleton they saw was the life size replica of the T-Rex! They also saw lots of other dinosaur bones, some as big as cars!
One of the highlights for the children was meeting 'Dino Dan the Dinosaur Man.' Dino Dan gave a talk to the children about some of the amazing things they had seen and taught them lots of amazing facts about the Triassic period.
Overall it was a fantastic day and the children and adults in Year 1 really enjoyed it!
