Year 6 classes are named after artists Frida Kahlo and Bridget Riley.

“As the artist picks his way along, rejecting and accepting as he goes, certain patterns of enquiry emerge.” - Bridget Riley

Feet, what do I need you for when I have wings to fly?” - Frida Kahlo

As top juniors, the Year 6 children are expected to work extremely hard both within lessons and around the school.

We are keen to develop their independence and sense of responsibility, whilst achieving high standards. We expect a mature attitude towards class work, homework and any whole school responsibilities. We are fortunate that our Year 6 children get offered many exciting opportunities to experience extra curricular activities. During the summer term the children are taken on a PGL residential trip. This is a wonderful experience and helps to prepare them for the challenges of secondary school.
